How to read Russian books on Amazon Kindle

I love my Kindle. It travels everywhere with me.

My Kindle was very useful on the beaches of Costa Rica

I have hundreds of Kindle books but no Russian-language books. I could not find much information on the web, besides the Unicode Hack.
I did not want to alter my Kindle's software, so I tried to use PDFs. That's how I did it.
  • You can go to Russian online library like lib.ru or others
  • Load the book you want to read in your browser
  • Copy text from the page
  • Start Open Office Word Processor (openoffice.org)
  • Paste text to the word document
  • Change font for the whole text to 20
  • Export as PDF document
  • Load into your Kindle
Worked great for me. Of course, don't forget to follow the copyright rules on the sites that you use. Good luck!
